The Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Science and Training. It is an initiative supported by the National Capital Educational Tourism Project (NCETP). PACER provides financial assistance to schools within Australia, travelling more than 150 kilometres to visit Canberra. The rebate is offered to students from Years 4-12 and is paid on a per student basis, to assist schools to reduce the travel cost for individual students.
Please refer to the table below for a guideline on the rebate rate per student. The NCETP recommends using www.whereis.com.au when calculating travel distance from your school to Canberra.
